The Partners for the Information Society Innovation Fund (ISIF) have agreed on the objectives and procedures presented in this site through a Memorandum of Understanding.
Grants Secretariat - APNIC
Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC), acting as Secretariat, will host the program's administration, and continue as a contributing partner in the grants’ fund.
APNIC appreciates that the general conduct of the program (including the specific project criteria, eligibility rules, reporting requirements, and acceptance of additional partners), is a matter for the partners acting jointly. APNIC will continue to subscribe to these activities as a full contributing partner.
APNIC host the administrative functions and technical infrastructure for the fund, including:

Staffing for ISIF planning and delivery;

Communications with applicants, grantees, and fund partners;

Effective public and private web sites (including mailing lists and other electronic communication services);

ISIF publicity;
-
Event management;
-
Dissemination of project achievements and results;

Monitoring of project progress;
-
Outsourcing project evaluation and facilitation of ISIF forums and workshops;

Financial administration and reporting.
Clear communication is essential
to building and maintaining this support. ISIF communication strategy will build from APNIC communications strategy, consisting of:

Effective, innovative use of technology;

Broad cultural understanding; and
-
Responsive communication practitioners.
Committees
Steering Committee: The Steering Committee will include one voting representative of each partner. The Steering Committee defines and manages the fund, making decisions by consensus. The Steering Committee will, at least annually, review the fund objectives, methods and documentation at each face-to-face meeting.
Grants Selection Committee: The Grants Selection Committee will include two voting members appointed by each partner. Grants committee members may use the help of others in the review process. The Grants Selection Committee reviews grant applications, and makes grant selection decisions by consensus.
